About Wine Country Chocolates
True passion for the best, most pure tasting chocolate, led our mother-daughter chocolatiers, Betty and Caroline Kelly, to form Wine Country Chocolates in 2000, filling the fine-chocolate void in Sonoma Valley.
The results surpassed all expectations of world-class chocolate. After one-on-one training and chocolate experiments, we perfected a unique truffle recipe that pushed the limits on creaminess. While traditional style truffles are rolled, Wine Country Chocolates truffles are formed, pressed, and then enrobed in a layer of dark chocolate. Sound amazing? That’s because they are!
The truffles became even more amazing with the appropriate Wine Country fusion of wine and chocolate. We quickly earned the reputation of having the most uniquely creamy, wine-infused truffles that chocolate fans have ever tried. The vintner inspired truffles still remain our top sellers at WCC (among other favorites like Cappuccino-Tiramisu, Orange Grand-Marnier, and Dulce du Leche).
We spent the next six years wowing the chocolate wholesale world, local wineries, and farmer’s market foodies. In 2006, through the advice of friends and fans, we opened our first retail space, and the very first Chocolate Tasting Room in Sonoma Valley. The staff is comprised of young passionate friends of ours that have all known each other for years. They are dedicated, knowledgeable, and fellow chocolate lovers. Now locals and tourists alike can enjoy sampling the rich, all-natural flavors and treats that WCC has to offer.
